About Me . . .
Welcome! I congratulate you on taking the steps to make a positive change in your life. I truly believe that you hold all the answers that you are seeking. My role in your life is to provide you the tools you need to discover those answers in your life that will create “ah ha” moments for you that provide hope and healing. I believe in you!
I speak from experience, before I became a therapist I too was seeking these answers for many areas of my life that were damaged. I say damaged because that is how I felt with the amount of trauma I had endured during the course of my life. I had great therapists that provided me with my own “ah ha” moments that changed the trajectory of my life and I am so blessed and grateful for those therapists. At that time, I had no real purpose but I found it and I now want to be able to provide my own clients with these powerful moments and insights that I know are inside of them.
My Emphasis . . .
Is to provide you with a safe space where you are free to share thoughts and feelings with no fear of judgement. I am a Latina and have much experience working with the Latin community. I hope through therapy children, families, and individuals can break cultural chains and generational trauma. With that said I always consider my clients personal uniqueness (age, gender, social class, culture) and provide a culturally sensitive environment for my clients.
Trauma can be in many forms and can be tough to navigate through. I want to work with you collaboratively in a way that works for the individual. My passions include but are not limited to: Trauma, addictions, and working with men and women who are currently incarcerated or have previously been incarcerated and looking to transition back into society. If you are an individual who has been released from prison you may have many thoughts. How do I restart my life? How do I cope now that I am out of prison? How do I deal with disconnection and isolation? I would love the opportunity to work with you to help provide tools that can help these solve problems, deal with conflict, social situations and also to control anger as well as any substance abuse issues.
My Values . . .
I am Christian and have a sincere interest in the well-being of my clients. I believe that the work we do in the therapy session is meaningful and I believe ultimately that belief will facilitate hope for you. I am committed and passionate about seeing growth in all my clients. I enjoy helping you by creating a relaxed and safe environment so that we can work collaboratively to figure out the things that are holding you back and develop new habits that will bring you a renewed sense of self and the world around you. The answers are already in you! I truly believe that and I would like to help you discover them. There is hope, you deserve healing and a sense of power over your life.
